First Dentist Visit At Age 1 San Jose, CA
Our
kids dentist office in Los Gatos CA, as well as the American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends that your child visit the dentist
for the first time by 12 months of age. There
are several reasons for this first visit:

to check for cavities--yes, unfortunately we do see cavities on one year olds

to assess growth and development of teeth and jaws

to review prevention, especially dietary habits

to establish a "dental home" for your child. (If your toddler falls and breaks a tooth, the last thing you want is to be doing is looking for a dentist. If the first visit is by age one, your child is already established at our office.)
